MOTHER DIANNE BOGAN

Mother Dianne M. Bogan, is a native of Pontiac, Michigan and the daughter of the late Bishop Charles J. Johnson, Sr., and Mother Lillian Keyes-Johnson. Mother Bogan is the wife of the late, Bishop Walter E. Bogan, Sr.   She is also the mother of two sons, Pastor Eric C. (Karleen) and Deacon Walter E. Bogan, Jr., and the grandmother of three: Kolby, Blake and Luke.

An insightful speaker and mentor, Mother Bogan draws heavily from her parents’ training and her experience as a pastor and bishop’s wife. She frequently hosts retreats, workshops, and other events to empower, train and develop women. Mother Bogan challenges women to: 1) become blessings in the lives of their husbands and families 2) focus on their strengths instead of their weaknesses 3) become the victor and not the victim and 4) be productive in the home, church and community.

Mother Bogan trains, teaches and mentors young women to “live with purpose on purpose”. She is considered by many to be a “spiritual mother.”This facet of her mentoring ministry deeply impacts hurting women. She is known throughout the Body of Christ as a servant leader who consistently demonstrates God’s love and hospitality to others.

Mother Bogan continues to remind women everywhere that, “Service is not in a title, but in a towel.” A saged quote frequently used by her late husband, Bishop Walter E. Bogan, a man who exemplified servant leadership.

Mother Dianne M. Bogan serves as the Jurisdictional Supervisor of Women for the Great Lakes First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of Michigan under the leadership of Bishop Clifford Caleb Dunlap and Director of Women’s Ministries at Harris Memorial Church.
